The White Field Explorer Unit

Welcome to The White Field Explorer Unit web site

"The purpose of scouting is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as a member of their local, national and international communities"

Established on 27th September 2017 the unit was set up to provide explorer scouting to scouts from 109th Scout Group and the wider Lagan Scouting District.

Explorers

Explorer Scouts are the fourth Section of the Scouting family after Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. Explorer Scouts are young people aged between 14 and 18 years old. There is flexibility in the age range: young people can join from age 13½.

Why us?

‘Scouting provides a second family to lots of young people. It’s a safe place where they can aspire and grow.’

Young Leaders

The Young Leaders' Scheme helps Explorer Scouts to develop and grow as individuals. It allows them to make a valuable contribution to their community and give service to others. The scheme also helps them fulfil the service elements of their awards.

Volunteer with Us

Without our volunteers, we wouldn't be able to offer our explorer scouts to develop and grow as indviduals, learn and develop new skills and experiences.
